Seedling stage β€” day 7 update

Just popped above soil on day 3 and looking healthy on day 7. Two sets of leaves already forming nicely. Germinated using the paper towel method β€” tap root was about 1cm when I transferred to a small jiffy pot. Under a T5 propagation light at 24Β°C, 65% RH. Planning to transplant into a 3L pot in another week then straight into the tent. Will be running full organic soil (BioBizz All Mix) with no added nutes for the first 3-4 weeks. Should be an easy grow β€” fingers crossed!

First ever grow β€” harvest day!

I can't believe I actually pulled this off. Six months ago I didn't know anything about growing and today I harvested my first ever plant. She came out smaller than I hoped (about 45g dried) but honestly I don't care β€” I grew this myself from a PCG seed and that feels amazing. Learned so much: VPD, deficiencies, pH problems (had a few of those!), flushing. Next grow is already planned and I know exactly what I'd do differently. Thanks to everyone in this community who answered my dumb questions along the way. Genuinely couldn't have done it without the advice here.

Frosty trichomes close-up β€” Blue Cheese

Finally got my macro lens working properly. Couldn't resist sharing these trichome shots from day 52 of flower. Mostly milky white with maybe 10% amber. The resin production on this pheno has been incredible β€” she's absolutely dripping. Smell is a strong mix of blueberry and aged cheese, exactly what you'd expect. Grown in coco/perlite 70/30, fed with Canna A+B throughout. Will do a full grow report once she's chopped and dried.

Week 6 flower update β€” Northern Lights Auto

Just hit week 6 of flower and the buds are stacking up nicely. Running a 20/4 light schedule under a 600W HPS. Temps sitting at 24Β°C with 48% RH. Started flushing two weeks ago and the fan leaves are yellowing off as expected. Trichomes are mostly cloudy with a few amber starting to show β€” probably another 10 days to go. Overall really happy with this run. Main cola is looking like it'll be a monster. Will post harvest pics when she's done!

Strain Reviews

Honest review after 3 grows β€” absolutely worth it

This is my third time growing this strain and I wanted to write a proper review now I really know her. Vegged for 5 weeks under LED, flipped to 12/12 and she stretched about 40% which I was expecting. Flowering time was bang on 9 weeks. Yield was around 110g dried from a 10L pot, which I'm very happy with in a tent grow. Effect-wise: strong, cerebral, long lasting. Not overwhelming but definitely not for beginners. Great for evenings. The genetics from PCG were spot on β€” consistent across all three grows with no hermies or anything unexpected. Would recommend.

Growing Tips & Advice

LST vs topping β€” which gives better yields in a 60x60 tent?

Been growing in a 60x60 tent for about two years now and I've experimented a lot with training methods. Thought I'd share what I've found. Topping works great but you need enough veg time to recover β€” I'd say minimum 2 weeks after the cut before flipping. It creates a very even canopy and I've had good results, but it does add time. LST (low stress training) is my preferred method for autos or when I'm tight on veg time. Gently bending the main stem and tying it down from week 2 onwards. No recovery time needed, keeps the plant in a horizontal shape, and really opens up the canopy to light. For my 60x60 I typically run 2 plants with LST and get around 150-180g total per run. Anyone else had good results with different methods in a small tent?

Introduce yourself β€” where are you growing?

Thought it'd be nice to have a thread where everyone can introduce themselves. I'll start! I'm based in Wales and I've been growing for about 4 years. Started outdoors, moved to a 1.2x1.2 tent setup indoors about two years ago. Run 2-3 plants per cycle, mostly feminised photoperiods but dabbling with autos now. Favourite strain so far has to be a Gorilla Glue pheno I ran last year β€” absolutely stunning. Where is everyone else growing? Indoor/outdoor? What's your setup?

Growing Tips & Advice

Diagnosing and fixing a magnesium deficiency

Had a nasty mag deficiency show up mid-flower and wanted to document how I fixed it in case it helps anyone. Symptoms: yellow patches between the veins on older fan leaves, starting mid-canopy and working upward. Classic interveinal chlorosis. Cause: I was using RO water and hadn't been adding a cal-mag supplement. The low EC of RO water means plants can struggle to uptake secondary nutrients. Fix: Added 1ml/L of Calmag Plus to every watering for 2 weeks. New growth came in healthy green within 5-6 days. Older damaged leaves didn't recover but stopped getting worse. Lesson: if you're using RO or very soft tap water, always add cal-mag. Don't wait for deficiency signs.
